Justicia Project

More than 55 law firms across Ontario have pledged their support to the Law Society's new precedent-setting Justicia Project designed to retain and advance women lawyers in private practice. The project, which continues until the end of 2013, is the first of its kind in Canada and includes representatives from medium and large firms committed to identifying and adopting principles and best practices that promote the retention and advancement of women.

Each of the participating Ontario firms have signed written commitments to achieve ambitious goals in four core areas: tracking gender demographics, flexible work arrangements, networking and business development and mentoring and leadership skills development for women.
